Action Items
 | The decision was made to conduct the next SEUFPC meeting in Atlanta, on January 12, 2000. MCIWorldcom will host the meeting. New officers will be elected in January 2000. | ||||
| Danny Lee will contact all SEUFPC members to be notified of the next meeting and check availability of current membership. | ||||
| Angela Wallace will work on having the committee members subscribe to notification through e-mail. | ||||
| Bill Buchanan will contact Qwest, Level 3, IXC and Williams to solicit new members to join our committee. | ||||
| Bill Turner provided a 16 minute VCR tape ‘The Other Side of the Fence”. This was well received by everyone. The committee rated this “Two-Thumbs Up”! Bill Turner will be the point of contact for information on obtaining this video using the “DIG SAFELY” tag line. | ||||
| BellSouth has the “on-line” Yellow Pages up and running. | ||||
| January 2000 we will identify the two shows to help support. | ||||

All one-call representatives reported an increase in membership.

Goals
|
Increasing our membership or attendance to the SEUFPC meetings. |
|
Encourage contract locator representatives to attend SEUFPC meetings. Re-enforce the importance to technicians to attend local underground meetings at the local level. |
|
Encourage wireless companies to come up with a free call for utility protection such as “ *DIG ” to notify the one-call centers of emergency locates or lines that may not have been marked within the allotted time. |
|
Bill Turner, Danny Barrett and Mike Joiner has formed a sub-committee to come up with two trade shows to support for year 2000. |
Objectives

One-Call representatives will make contact with other One-Call states to encourage participation in our meetings. |
|
Convert generic VCR tape “The Other Side of the Fence” using the “DIG SAFELY” tag line. |
|
Provide railroad mile marker numbers and station numbers to the one-call centers for accurate locations for locate ticket information. |
