Dan Simpson will have WorldComs Lobbyist contact Flas lobbyist to
assist with PSA.

Fiona Bowen will approach Nextel concerning #DIG.

Arch York will approach Sprint PCS concerning #DIG.
4.
Brad Martin will approach Alltel concerning #DIG.
5. Request the CGA consider using the same digits as #DIG for calling in locates from home or office. (Danny Barrett)

Send out hotel accommodation list for 2002 1st quarter
meeting. (Holly)
7.
Contact Claudette Campbell concerning Liaison Breakout session for 2002 1st
quarter meeting.
8.
Have a bridge available for a conference call for people unable to travel
to meeting. (Holly)
2002 Officers- Our current chairman Steve Stull will be moving to another position with MCI/WorldCom and will unable to attend future meetings. Without a majority of committee members in attendance no election of officers was possible. A motion was passed to appoint Holly Files as temporary chair until the 1st quarter meeting where the election of officers will be held.

Locate rodeo-
1st rodeo is scheduled for 2002 Expo in Macon Ga. Mercer University has allowed
the use of their site for the competition. Anyone interested in joining the
committee or wants information on the progress can contact Tim Boatfield at tboatfield@gaupc.com

Locate Excellence-
This is an incentive based program designed to recognize locate technicians who
exhibit the best qualities of their industry. The program is much like Deltas
Frequent Flyer program. There will be different levels of achievement and as you
reach each level more advantages and prizes are available to you. Many companies
are on the committee including utility owner/operators, equipment manufacturers,
contract locate companies, private locate companies and the Staking University.
The program is still in development and is scheduled to start a pilot program in
Jan 2002. Anyone interested in joining the committee or wants information can
contact Holly Files at hfiles@gaupc.com .
- # DIG SunCom is now providing #DIG in Alabama. Verizon is also interested and has requested more information.
